One of the best quotes that I ever heard about the old macintosh os's (os
6-7ish) was basically

"Mac OS, It's not an operating system, It's a religion."

and if the mac fanatics can have a religion why shouldn't the *nix freaks?

Personally, I think that a lot of lugs and other similar linux organizations
have a bit of a cult mantality to them. Not that its a bad thing...

So I should discount that rise I get out of figuring out how to
tell the computer hoe to do what I want. It's not really spiritual, it
only feels that way. Wait...

If Scientology can make a go of it, why can't...
Oh, yeah, that way leads to madness and death.

Look, if OpenBSD devotees gather to burn incense and chant praises
to Theo DeRaadt, I can't see the harm. Or the use, but somebody could do
it, "and if enough do it, it'll turn into a movement".
