We got a call from a guy yesterday who wants to access his office computer while he is out of town. What is involved with getting in from the outside through @home? He is running Win98 on one computer and Win2K on the other. Let's use VNC as an example. He is leaving Monday and it would be nice if we could have something in place by then. When I played around with the BSD's they weren't able to work with the same settings as linux (gateway same as ip). For the bsd's I used dhcp, until I figured out the proper gateway. @Home is fast. I've reached sustained ~415kb/sec (downloading kernel images). That's 3,320 kbit/sec. Faster than they advertise! However my upload is limited to 12k/sec. Apparently some were abusing the upload capacity (business use @home).
