Yes, I called them and they confirmed that the "L brackets" 
are removable on all of their rackmount cases. 

I think this U2 case, which they manufacture, is kind of nice.

BTW, I figure out what's different about the Slimline case 
made by PC Power and Cooling: it's smaller (at 15.5 x 17) 
than the standard rackmount cases (19 x 22) so that it will 
fit into a stereo cabinet or home entertainment center. 

I wonder if they carry any of these rackmounts up at Fry's? 
It would be nice to explore one up close before ordering.
