And that was before i launched my description of my recent adventures with
my father's classic slide rule (which, it appears, is rapidly appreciating
in value as an antique ; it was a rare variant, a Keuffel & Esser Log-Log
Duplex Vector 4083-3 late model, optimized for vector solutions (the examples
in the second volume of the manual are way over my head).  Similar to
