Actually right at this very moment I've got the laptop into the install process for OpenBSD (succumbed to jake's mesmerising prowess) I'm blocking right now as I need to wait for the bofh to get back from lunch and let me have a sane IP address. But it seems to recognisethe IBM card. the linksys one is detected but the :Where did the card go?: message pops up immediately. which is the exact opposite of what was happening last night :-O Which commands list drivers available and toggle them, I'm not seeing anything that looks likely in /bin /sbin or /usr/bin?
