Those problems should be fixed now...  Sometimes IPF's state table would
fill up and make our network unreachable.  I think I've solved that by
only keeping state on SYN packets.  I'll be using pf soon anyway.  Also,
the network here was amazingly misconfigured and prone to low
performance and high collision rate that would slow access to our
server.  A strategically placed switch has solved that as well I
believe.
        The www stuff is a funny issue.  The server actually has two IP
addresses  on one interface.  One is for http, the other is for mail and
ftp.  This may sound strange, but there is a historical reason for this.
One of these IPs is bhengineers.com, the other is www.bhengineers.com.
This server filters it's own traffic and only allows web traffic to the
www address, etc...  It was a kludge that was needed in a hurry to work
with existing mistakes =/
