You don't *need* a different vid card. The vesa driver in XF4 will work with anything VESA compliant, although it has no nice features like acceleration. There is unofficial support for i810/i815 in OpenBSD, complete with an agpgart lkm :) It's unofficial but it's from OBSD X maintainer.
