While that would be all right functionally, I wouldn't want to mess with the security of it on a business network. Even if I plugged the 802.11b receiver into my dmz switch, I would still have to encrypt traffic between both sites. I'd have to setup a vpn between there and here. While I can do that with freeswan, it may be better to solve it with fiber and a couple routers, or if short enough, coax and a hub.
