If that's the case why is it that most every human culture that has needed
some form of portable exchange value has developed something that looks
like money? Unless we have some form of innate need for political control.
(I tend to favor the sociobiological explanation, though I do tend to
think that there are only a few forms of social arrangement that are
metastable for any length of time, absolute equality lasts only as long as
everyone is silent)
