the one time i wish i had debian installed...

i haven't tried what you want to do, so i wouldn't
know what to pout into the config files.  however :
i think the network config files are in /etc/network/
or /etc/networking/.  there's a file in there called
"interfaces" and i think that's the one you're looking
for.
