Would it be hard to get an old 486 laptop, rip off the LCD screen and attach a monitor cable to it so you can use the laptop screen as a display screen on other computers? I'm not thinking long term, but when you've got a bunch of headless servers and want to plug one in quick to see what's going on, it would be very useful.
