This would work.
#!/bin/sh
startx -- :1 &
startx -- :2 &
startx -- :3 &
wait
Runs all three in the background and waits for 'em to finish.
Also, I just set up my Woody box to run four X servers from kdm. That
way, I can choose the window manager from each display's kdm panel.
To do it, I edited /etc/kde2/kdm/Xservers and replaced what was there
with this.
:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :0 vt7 -bpp 8
:1 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :1 vt8 -bpp 8
:2 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :2 vt9 -bpp 16
:3 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X :3 vt10 -bpp 32

A video as a background? Sure, when computers get about 10x faster (5
