Not yet for Sony, but Palm is changing;
Sony's still using the old chipset, but at least they've got flashable
system memory like most Palms... Visors are NOT upgradeable, and
therefore one cannot put linux on those.  From what I could find, it
sounds like PalmOS version 5 is for the ARM (afaik)...

The models they currently feature on sonystyle.com:
PEG-NR70/NR70V:  66MHz CPU, PalmOS 4.1
PEG-615C: (doesn't say but uses PalmOS 4.1)
PEG-S360:  (doesn't say but uses PalmOS 4.0!)

and from brief googling:
PEG-S300 (older) uses a 16MHz Motorola EZ Dragonball
The PEG-S360 uses a 33MHz version
PEG-625 also uses 33 MHz
