> It's about simplicity Bingo! This is what drew me to NetBSD. I wanted something stripped down that would force me to really learn and that wasn't an open door security-wise. WRT the fewer number of native *BSD apps: NetBSD (and I think Open/FreeBSD) have kernel-level emmulation of most *NIXes => near native performance (depending on freshness of available libraries required).
