Yeah, I saw this procedure referenced someplace
else - its an option, though I'd rather just pop in a working chip.
I've already preformed the first step of this "operation" -ie shaving off
the resin & exposing the leads - so perhaps I'll scrounge up a battery and
try it out. Quick & dirty 8^J.
BTW, thanks for the link - looks like there's
other info there I can use.
