Well Ron, I'd have to say that that was one of the more successful trolls I've seen recently. Intentional or not it was quite effective. if you wanted to to give a big old YHBT YFFI HAND raspberry and demand the title of "Troll-Meister of eug-lug" I think you'd get it by acclamation. But just so every one on the list does not feel left out here is a summary of the linux machines I touched today. 1. Home workstation: debian stable, X-windows only by appointment mostly used for email and ssh and browsing, some programming and light db duties 2. Work workstation: also debian stable, no X-windows, does serve html and several database driven web services (though these are migrating to another machine) 3-n. various unix-flavored servers associated with efn, includes debian woody (a couple of machines) freebsd, BSD/OS and sunOS(old'n'crufty) n+1. OPN's ltsp project, chugging along nicely thank you very much, I'll try to make sure we get X-pilot installed before thursday's clinic. n+2. Virgin Webplayer from the discontinued Virgin connect service, this is basically a toy, 200-MHZ Geode processor with an embedded linux running what may be a hacked version of Opera. Cost me $50 and I'll probably spend 4x that on mangling it to meet my twisted desires...;-) So there there you have it and thank you for the magnificent troll that gave us all the opportunity to brag about our systems. :)
