oh yah, you want to find a cheap monitor to go along...
(I think it's much cheaper to buy them separately, if you find
a great-seeming deal like these where it's not bundled)
also see pricewatch.com, for cheapest deals on random mail-order
suppliers.... use a credit card's built-in buyers insurance.
(ie, you are somewhat protected from getting ripped-off just by ordering
with a credit card) Good luck, Ben!

One friend just spent her tax return on one of the cheapy HP AMD systems
and it's pretty impressive (tho XP runs horribly on it, but the system
processes fast), but on ANY of these cheap systems the mobo is not as
ripping-fast as a more expensive mobo; ie they waste memory bandwidth
with their sloppy timings, etc. You could alternatively choose to spend
more on a better-quality system that runs at a slower clock-speed.
That's basically how I feel about eMachines across the board, except
that I have had bad enough experience to suggest agsainst them...
Celerons in general have the "feel" of a significantly slower system.
Catcha later... let us know how its going.
