You can also obtain AIM directly from AOL's site.
Personally I like using GAIM as it seems to be a tad
quicker and perhaps more reliable. All the familiar
shortcuts of AIM work in it as well.
(Control+1,2,3,etc and Control+Shift+1,2,3,etc... for
smilies)
