Installing debs on an RPM based system doesn't come up often.

Look for the package alien. I believe you'll also have to install
dpkg, hopefully that will be in the depends.

The alien utility knows how to run rpm and the Debian packaging tools
to do the best it can to turn one form of a package into another.
Things like user and group ids usually suffer in the translation.
Also, Debian install scripts are different from Redhat's. I'm not sure
about details like which compiler/headers/etc. were used to build the
package binaries causing problems.

Good luck!

BTW, what did you find that was packaged for Debian that wasn't
available in RPM form?

Have you looked at rpmfind (http://rpmfind.net/)?
