If you have a running Debian system and a CD burner, you can upgrade
yours CDs (!) using jigdo.

Jigdo builds a new CD image using the packages off the old CD and any
new packages needed from a Debian mirror. It's extraordinarily slick.

Start here...

        apt-get install kernel-source-2.2.20
        apt-get install kernel-headers-2.2.20

If you have configured your CDs as apt sources (man apt-cdrom), then
apt-get will tell you which CD to load, I think. (I don't use my
Debian CDs anymore.)

You might also want kernel-doc-2.2.20...

Good evaluation. dselect sucks.

Read and understand section 9.2 of the FAQ before you do.

Use "ps ax" to see what services are running. Also check for
inetd-based services by reading the file, /etc/inetd.conf.

Use "dpkg --remove <name-of-package>" to get rid of them.
