I want to add a comment here.
As many of you, I use, like, and sometimes even build special purpose
Linux distributions. So, I have evaluated and used Knoppix a bit.
I want to say that I like it a lot. It is large - maybe too large -
and does a good job detecting hardware so it installs very very easily
in most cases. As a result, it makes a great demo distribution or
a mobile rescue distro, and of course if you want to work at it
one can use it for most anything.
In any case, if you haven't used it and sometimes need something
of this sort I highly recommend it. It's only real draw back is
that it prefers computers with lots of RAM and fast CD readers - but
you can't have everything.
