Are you talking about the bootable business cards? Those run a 2.2 kernel. I'm finding that they're becoming unusable as rescue disks because most of my machines are running 2.2-incompatible filesystem things like Reiser, ext3, disks over 134 Gb, RAID, or LVM. Drives over 134 Gb don't even work with Linus' 2.4.18 kernel. You need 2.4.20 (or maybe 2.4.19). Nowadays I use Knoppix as my rescue disk. (I'm not trying to sound like a Knoppix zealot. I'm really not a zealot, it's just a useful CD for several purposes.) -- Bob Miller K<bob> kbobsoft software consulting http://kbobsoft.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Eug-LUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.efn.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/eug-lug
