Bob Yes, about the business card. A friend here want one. He will likely download it. He saw what I did with mine and was impressed. I'll let him know you what you think about Knoppix. I think he'd still like a business card. I find the 1.5 disk better than the 2.0 because it had midnight commander and I use that all the time.
I have Knoppix and found it's really good at discovering hardware. I have a an old laptop which a pcmcia network card and I couldn't get it running on 95. It was there but not working. I got a boot floppy for Knoppix and it was found it and configured it properly. The only thing it didn't do was find and windows partition to install the swap file to run KDE. But it did come up with X and I was able to use lynx to test rooms so I was happy. I have a 540 laptop hard drive I might install it and install debian on. I don't know what I will be able to fit on it. I want X at least and window mangager will do. So am I a Knoppix zealot too. Sounds like a religion. Sounds like there is a Knoppix peddler/dealer in your midst. I would pass them out too, Oh no, it's happening to me. Am I really. Oh no. Should only the experienced Linux user need use or shall the unexperienced enter in. So much power to help or destroy. :-) Hope I got you laughing. I do like Knoppix and well it uses Debian so it has to be good. :-) Tim On Wednesday 05 March 2003 05:45 pm, you wrote: > Timothy Bolz wrote: > > If he has any linuxcare disks lying around I know a couple people here I > > could hand them out too.
