Try http://www.dropline.net/gnome/ It will update Gnome to the latest and greatest, including a lot of bug fixes. Don't do it over a modem though. My iDSL took over 4 hours to get all the packages and install them.
Try copy and paste in Gnome. If it works then the problem is with Enlightenment and you may have to find a way to update it. Linux Rocks !
