The only rationale I can see for SCO's deposing of RMS would be to
expose his (low) opinion of software patents.

        Oral arguments are scheduled for 5 December, when I expect to see
SCO's suit to be dismissed with prejudice.

        IBM and RedHat will be free to pursue their suits (respectively
for resraint of trade and copyright/patent infringement) against SCO.
Perhaps SCO might survive long enough to call RMS to the stand.

        I really don't actually expect any net effect on GNU/Linux.

        I'm no more a lawyer than Larry, though.
