All, >From the Sidney Morning Herald:
The ACT Legislative Assembly passed the Democrats' Open Source Bill last night, information from party sources says. The bill was introduced in July by Roslyn Dundas, the member for Ginninderra. Amendments to the same were suggested by a government member, Helen Cross, and accepted. The bill says that public bodies should, as far as practicable, consider the use of open source software when procuring computer software.
