Micheal, As co-listmanager, I can answer this question, Absolutely. Im sorry
if that is inconvenient for you, but its a necessary evil. You can ofcourse
always read this list via the web archinves (like you are hopfully doing
right now if you havnt subbed the list already).

:
: Thanks,
: Michael
:
: Here's what I want to post:
: ===========================
: I am a program manager at Microsoft doing some research around how we
: can improve our operating systems. My goal is to help us identify
: capabilities, improvements, and features that Microsoft should be
: focusing on to help our customers over the next 5 years or so.
:
: I am particularly interested in hearing from Linux users, and get their
: input about what they feel should be the priorities. In particular, I
: would like to better understand what it is that makes Linux and Open
: Source solutions so useful for you.
1) Open Source (Source code being open to anyone that wishes to look at it,
modify / improve it).
2) Global(large/widespread) source of software developers with wide range is
skills and talents.
3) Developers that are not confined by a single source (such as one companies
rules and policies, or country/laws).
4) Wide variety of hardware support. Support for all basic hardware (video/io/
CPU/net/mainboard/storage/...)
5) Honesty
6) Community Spirit
7)Absence of greed/anti-competetiveness/poor workmanship.

Thanks for asking Mr. Surkan. I look forward to the release of any microsoft
operating system that conforms to my above mentioned guidelines.

Jamie
