Gotta say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! to all the list members that replied to my post(s) about my SoundBlaster Live card. Read (and reread) the posts (and the gentle flames from KBOB and Jamie), did a little research on the WWW and stumbled onto the ALSA Gui Mixer......Seems that all volumes are muted by default (why, I don't know) but once I turned up the master volume.......Voila!! I'm listening to the Topeka KS Police Dept on XMMS!! Maybe someday I'll get the time off work to make a meeting and meet the faces behind the names.
