Yeah, I have used this a bit in the past. We had a
minor laugh about this at the meeting the other day. I
had a couple issues where the password sync process
killed the shadow or passwd file on a box. But, this
happened in an older version and I hear it is much
more stable now.

In my experience, most folks use WSU for the password
synchronization and the NFS client. I like the
password sync feature for organizations that want to
keep a single directory of user accounts. This
component works to keep one or more passwd/shadow
files in sync with a Windows account database (either
an NT SAM or an Active Directory).
