I was given a free copy of the old version of Xandros at
Linuxworld last summer. I brought it home and tried it and was
very impressed with its capabilities in the areas you mentioned
above (except I didn't try the part about NTFS).
I've been recommending Xandros to Windows users ever since. If
you're going to pay for Linux, you might as well be paying for
that one (in my opinion). It has the smoothest transition from
'doze to 'nix of any distro I've seen, with SuSE coming in
second.
