Hint: Google for "linux live cd powerpc". The above site was the first result. I always google for anything Linux-related, and I can count on one hand the number of times the Great Oracle has failed me. ;)

Once you've played with one of those CDs for awhile, if you end up deciding to install Linux (dual boot or otherwise) on your Powerbook, you might want to consider the Debian distribution, or even Gentoo (not as newbie-friendly). There are many well-illustrated step-by-step guides out there for installing Linux on Apple hardware. Again, when in doubt, hit up Google...
