Thanks for bringing that up! I got a couple cheapo g cards (pci). havnt tried
loading a driver yet, but did try a recent knoppix cd(thanks larry), sadly
didnt get them working... (but did provide lots of great info for
configureing slack :).
anyway, the cards are:
AirLink+ 802.11g
Wireless Lan PCI card
54 Mbps
It doesnt show the chipset(the whole circuit is under a metal can that apears
to be soldered firmly in place.)
it could also be a conflict with other hardware, havnt checked for that yet...
Another strange thing I noticed about knoppix, is that it says I have 2 cpus!
my guess is its a hyperthread issue...
