Those would be great. If we have a meeting next week, they would be most welcome. We havnt had
meetings for a few weeks because we havnt had a good place to hold them lately. Traditionally, we
have met on thursdays, as its the best day for most of us, but if that has changed, then maybe we
should pick a new day? Besides my place, we have also discussed a few other places.. whats up
with those places ?
If we have a meeting next week, I'm sure your offer of a place will be gratefully accepted.
Just where is your place, anyway?
As for other places, so far only two good suggestions seem to have appeared...the Emerald Park community center, and a River Road restaurant whose name I don't remember at the moment. (Would the person who made the restaurant suggestion please refresh our memories?)
I don't know much about the restaurant, but Emerald Park may be thinking of us as flakes by now...a few weeks ago a EUGLUG member expressed an interest in giving a presentation, so I asked Bob Crandell if he could reserve the room for us this weekend. He did so, but the presentation never materialized, so I doubt anybody showed up at Emerald Park at the appointed time.

Aha! This is the thread I was looking for!
As I wrote in an earlier post, I've been off-list, but just got contacted to the end that OPN wants to be able to serve us as a group, and wants to hear about our needs. I think shelter, power, and network access are pretty key for us, and light and heat and a restroom is a big plus too.
Cheap food and beverage have often been popular, although some also prefer to be able to bring their own food.
All ages and "alter access" should be supported IMO.
That's my $0.015 :)
So, I dunno what restaurant on River Rd was suggested, but I'm on the south side and so prefer downtown/campus or other central-to-south locations, although I have not been participating too well lately. Rest assured, I am assimilating lots of linux experience day to day at work!
I can suggest the Indigo District, which meets all the above req'ts methinks, although they might not be friendly to outside food...
Thursday nite is often busy for them, although usually not until later... but sometimes I think they book stacked shows there and might have some event even before 7pm.
welp, thanks for tuning in
