Has anybody ever succeeded in getting past Comcast's first tier customer support people and actually talked to somebody there who understands networking?
No, their customer service is excellent and works as intended...
I can't believe I'm the only one on this list who's ever managed to do it on a regular basis. =O (Granted, I was in Indiana at the time, so it wouldn't be hard to totally confuse the locals, but the number was national, so..)
I have the cell #'s of the lead engineer and the data-side manager for RR in Memphis. It's all about bitching loud enough and long enough.
It helps that my business partner and I are abrasive NYers. Most people in the South are raised to be polite, and they're just overmatched sometimes.
They aren't Comcast, so my contacts don't do me a whole lot of good up here. heh. Came in handy a time or two down South, though.
Reminds me, I should check and see if those guys are still down there, if they'll still take my calls. heh.
