Reasons: 1. I didn't think of that. 2. The video controller I had didn't support two heads. (For a completely unrelated reason I ended up having to replace it, and the new controller could do that. Oh well.) 3. Less desk space required. (Not a big deal.) 4. Until reading your email I had never seen those funky dual monitors on a single stand. 5. Breaking up the screen is sometimes inconvenient. One of the tasks I do is edits using gimp.
