http://www.eff.org/broadcastflag/ "Responding to pressure from Hollywood, the FCC has adopted a rule requiring future digital television (DTV) tuners to include "content protection" (aka DRM) technologies. Starting next year, all makers of HDTV receivers must build their devices to watch for a broadcast "flag" embedded in programs by copyright holders." Now I can correct my last post: the broadcast flag applies to all digital TV. Since analog TV is being phased out sometime this decade, yes, we should all stock up on pchdtv.com's tuner cards. -- Bob Miller K<bob> kbobsoft software consulting http://kbobsoft.com [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list [email protected] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
