A board supporting PCIe and PCI-X is going to be expensive.
PCI-X is normally only found on high-end workstation and/or most
server boards. PCIe is the emerging standard with a completely
different interface. Not a drop of backward compatibility there.

Don't ask why I know all this. I'm just a geek.
