I am just now coming back to the Linux world and hope to be able to accomplish a few things.
1) reliability, stability, security - Always able in previous Linux editions.
2) Emulate the Windows environment well enough to play modern games on it.
Mandrake used to be really easy to use. However, I haven't played with it in a long time.
I never could get Debian to run on my systems and Slackware has always been a pain.
What I want is a good solid GUI - desktop environment that I can count on.
