Just curious if there's a stong leaning in the group towards Gnome or KDE .. and are there hidden benefits of one over the other ?

Personally I'm a KDE user, mostly becasue I came from windows and KDE "feels" more like windows and Gnome "feels" more like MAC. But are there other reasons to choose one over the other ?

PS - I mention this becasue today I downloaded the release of VMware player .. they offer up a VM that is simply a web browser... run the VMplayer and browse in perfect safety because any attacks on the VM machine are erased at reboot. Im thinking of requiring this for employees when they travel. Anyways.. the VM is built on Ubuntu.. my first experience with that OS as well.. and it was set up to use Gnome..
