I had no real difficulty setting up Ubuntu on my new laptop which has
a 16:10 widescreen (1280 x 800), I did have to download a utility to
rewrite the videoBIOS settings on boot so that X.org picks up that the
modeline Ubuntu created is in fact valid but, that's an intel issue
not an Ubuntu one.
