I wonder what this would do with signed binaries used in certain games?
Anyone is free to generate a binary, but not all binaries have trusted
signatures that allow them to work on major servers to reduce the
likelyhood of cheating in those games.
Given that these games are sometimes played for profit, the GPL may be a
bad license to use for the engines in the near future, even if having the
source code to the engine be widely available is a good thing.
