I note you didn't answer even one of my questions. I can only assume that
you are simply unwilling or unable to admit that making it illegal to
subvert things like TPM chips hurts the free software community.
Sorry, I thought you were just pontificating.
However, to answer your question, I have seen no evidence that such a
scenario is even remotely feasible.

You merely suggested that RMS has had to deal with idiots (apparently
including me among them) before--completely ignoring the fact that I have
attacked what RMS is doing on the merit rather than because he's doing it.
I can only assume that you are reading different messages than I am writing.
I have never suggested that you are stupid, only that snide asides and
personal attacks on the messenger(in this case, rms) are perhaps not the
best way to get your message across.
He and I have had more
than a couple of debates, in person, over precisely these kinds of issues.
They usually end with him raising his voice and accusing me of being an
opponent of free software (or worse) when he runs out of rebuttals.
In my few conversations with him (admittedly not one on one, but in
small groups), we've agreed to disagree on several issues. Perhaps I
caught him on good days, or perhaps I have a larger tolerance for
opposing viewpoints, regardless, I found him reasonably well-mannered
for a zealot(which was quite surprising, given some of the stories you
hear).
The fact remains that rms has managed to work with many folk from all
corners of the industry and beyond. Most of them have managed to
overlook his peccadilloes or find common ground.
You apparently feel that his personality harms the free software
community. I think that his personality is what has gotten the free
software community as big as it is.
You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, but as I've said in my
previous messages, I don't think your method is very constructive or
likely to effect the sort of change you apparently desire.
