Well, consider that Clearwire *IS* WiMax and at present the
coverage is spotty and the speeds suck when you don't have full
strength... Sorry, the technology has growth needs still.

FWIW, yes Comcast is expensive but have you priced DSL without a
home phone? If I were to switch to QWest's 5Mbps plan I would
save $3 a month over cable!! Clearwire isn't any better. They
want at least $40 a month plus taxes for their "faster" service.
In order for FREE service to be of value to me on a regular
basis I need at least a couple hundred "kb" download speeds. The
only happy Clearwire customers I've seen are those that could
actually get off dial-up. Any others that tried to swith from
cable or DSL usually go back.
