Not too much, to me -- looks like a standard mini-itx mobo plus a standard mini-itx case, and you can download DSL from them.  What is the value added?  Seems like, you get a ready-to-boot system, but that's about it.

One thing I really like about the ReadyNAS, from what I read, was that you could PULL a drive and it is otherwise ready to run for consumer uses... If anyone has a straightforward cookbook to make a homebrew system be truly hot-swappable let me know.  I'm sure docs are out there, but it is not something you get handed to you in FLOSSlund from what I've seen :)
