Oracle's execs are not stupid.  They can see that the open source
databases, primarily MySQL and PostgreSQL, are coming for them.  They
know that in a few short years their cash cow is going to stop
producing.

They may or may not have an actual strategy to transition to a new
business model, but it's obvious they have to do *something*.

Personally, I'm very happy for Keith and Margo (Sleepycat's founders).
