As many of you know, we have TiVo at our house. We get DIRECTV and
get some ridiculous number of channels, maybe 200 or 300.
TiVo lets you create "wish lists", where you ask it to record
everything that has a particular actor, director, genre, or whatever.
It also has keyword wishlists. It records everything where the given
word appears anywhere in the title, description, or cast.
About six months ago, I had the bright idea to give our TiVo a keyword
wish list for "Linux". If people are making TV shows about Linux, I'd
like to see them. Six months later, TiVo has found exactly zero shows
about Linux. Zero.
So that's what's wrong with TV, in a nutshell. Nobody on the tube
is talking about Linux.
