I've got a 5500 and use Outlook to sync to it. My Zaurus is running the
Zaurus OS v3. I tried out OpenZaurus, which was fun, but a bit frustrating
at times. I put the Sharp-provided OS back on because I needed consistant
syncing with Outlook on my Thinkpad and I didn't want to spend too many more
hours toying with it. It works great now, except after syncing finishes, the
Intellisync software crashes - but it's only after all the data has been
synced (shrug).

I picked my 5500 up refurbished BTW - on geeks.com last summer - cost about
$200. I also have a Dell Axim X5, which I bought new at about $250 a couple
years ago. The Axim has a nicer screen and a little more power, but the
Zaurus has a built-in keyboard, and Opera instead of PocketIE (man if you
thought IE was bad...)
