It's got an on-board RAID card and he was wanting RAID-1. I get Gentoo to boot from the LiveCD, step through the install docs until I get to the partitioning stage. At this point I'm in unfamiliar territory since I've never worked with RAID before. I can see the kernel module is loaded and in use as megaraid_mm. But from what I can see, [c]fdisk isn't seeing any raid arrays. I don't have any /dev/sd*. I do have /dev/rd/0 through 15 but cfdisk says it's 8MB. I also see /dev/mapper/control but nothing else in /dev/mapper. Where do I go from here? Assuming I can partition from fdisk, should I put the whole thing in RAID-1? I've seen places that say do swap on each drive, not mirrored. I'm not sure how you'd do that either. Any guidance is appreciated.
