Slow is...
Motherboard: ASUS CUWE-RM. i810 Northbridge, IDE-66.
CPU: Celeron 466 MHz (Mendocino), 128K cache.
RAM: 256MB
Disks: a motley assortment ranging from (200 GB, 7200 RPM, 8 MB
cache) to (30 GB, 5400 RPM, 2 MB cache).
This system's purpose is purely educational. I'll never put a
valuable bit onto it, and I intend to break it back down into
constituent parts in a month or two after I've done enough
experimenting.
I'm thinking of swapping in a real computer this weekend to do some
benchmarking, but I'd need to pull the motherboard, CPU and RAM out of
my work computer and get it back to running order by Monday morning.
