Who knows if it is legal or not. I don't know if there are any laws
on the book about internet traffic. I know you and I have talked
about this many times off list. I think there does need to be over
sight on these issues. I also think the government is going to push
the envelope on these issues. I also don't think this type of issue
is abused by one presidential administration or the other. I do
remember the Clinton Administration being caught with and improperly
obtaining internal FBI files. If the current administration is caught
doing the same thing I would be just as upset as I was with the
Clinton Administration. That being the past. I think that if we are
going to find terrorists in this country and kick them out. If
Government likes to read peoples unencrypted e-mail to catch them, go
for it. Hell I think they should be searching for terrorists on
myspace as well. My main point is this. If you want the Government
to secure the United States and protect the people. You have to give
them and let them use tools that are new and may let them into your
private life. I do think that the Government needs to be monitored
and if they (The Government) start using laws given to them to fight
terrorism to put drug dealers in jail. They need to be stoped and
told you can't do that. That is why you have drug laws and
racketeering laws.
